Stake Temple Recommend Interviews: The stake presidency will conduct temple recommend interviews from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m on on August 30th. In September, we will meet on the 13th, 20th and 27th.
No appointments are needed, except for first-time recommends or weddings. Those appointments should be made with Executive Secretary Andy Johnson at 801-550-8559. Please come to the stake center and wait in the chapel, where a stake presidency member will come and get you.
Stake High Council Meeting — 7:00 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13th, in the stake High Council room.
Regional Single Adult Fireside — 7:00 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13th, in the west church building on 3676 W. 4700 South. This fireside is for all single adults 36 and older.
Stake Missionary Coordination Meeting — 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15th, in the stake High Council room. This meeting is for the stake presidency, full-time missionaries, the stake mission leader, stake temple and family history leader and member of the stake relief society presidency.
Primary Fireside by the Fireside — 7:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18th, in the bowery of the stake center. We invite all Primary children, ages 8-11 and their parents to this fireside by the fireside, where we will have tips, treats and testimonies as we discuss the Children & Youth Program.
Stake Neighborhood Party — 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26th. Everyone is invited. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors too. We’re going to grill up some hamburgers and hot dogs, inflate some bounce houses and make as much popcorn and cotton candy as you can eat. We have created a Sign-Up sheet for anyone who would be willing to help us. Click here to volunteer.
Stake Youth Council — 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27th, in the stake High Council room.
Youth Music Festival — 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30th, in the bowery of the stake center. Expect food, music and maybe even a dunk tank. The festival will be focused on introducing the church’s new youth album.
“Let’s Get Real” Fireside — 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14th, in the stake center. This youth fireside will focus on mental and emotional health challenges we face in today’s world. We have invited counselors who work specifically with youth to come and answer questions, share thoughts and provide tips on how to be emotionally resilient amid difficult times.
YSA Family Home Evenings — Family Home Evenings are held weekly for the young single adults in our stake. Those attending the Taylorsville YSA Ward meet Mondays at 7:00 p.m. at 3120 W. 4700 S. Those attending the Granger YSA Ward meet Mondays at 7:00 p.m. at 4586 W. Woodbury Circle.
